Indian Coast Guard detains 10 crew members with Pakistani boat
Indian Coast Guard vessel ICGS Ankit has succeeded in arresting a Pakistani boat in Indian waters with 10 crew members in the Arabian Sea during an overnight operation.
Indian Coast Guard ship ICGS Ankit has apprehended a Pakistani Boat "Yaseen" with 10 crew in Indian waters in the Arabian sea during night ops y'day. The crew is being brought to Porbandar for further interrogation, said Indian Coast Guard officials tweeted by ANI.
The Pakistani boat was 6-7 miles inside Indian waters and tried to escape the scene after seeing the Coast Guard aboard.
So far, 2 tonnes of fish and 600 liters of fuel have been seized from the deck. Further inspection will be carried out once the boat reaches Porbandar, ICG officials said.
